This week, the Ohio Department of Medicaid released the first annual Medicaid Managed Care Report Card.
Medicaid officials released the state’s first report card of managed-care plans on Tuesday, a tool they hope will help beneficiaries choose coverage that works best for them and their families.
The statewide Managed Care Plans were scored on access to care, doctor’s communication and service, keeping kids healthy, living with illness, and women’s health. The plans were scored utilizing a three star system while being compared to each other. The report card is available for review here. The report card is designed as a resource for individuals who are selecting a Managed Care Plan when they enroll in Medicaid.
