The American Association for Homecare recently updated their supplier number tracking report with April 2020 data. They have been monitoring these statistics since late 2010 with the expansion of Round Two of the Medicare bidding program. Ohio has been one of the harder hit states seeing a 41% decline in the estimated number of traditional Medicare DMEPOS supplier locations from 576 in Nov. 2010 to 339 in April 2020. Nationally, there’s been a 35% decrease in supplier locations over this period dropping from 14,066 to 9,164 and holding steady in the past few months.
