As Ohio continues to grapple with the COVID-19 crisis, the Ohio Department of Medicaid is continuing to work hard to ensure our most vulnerable citizens maintain reliable access to food resources. Transportation service is an essential component of these efforts and ODM's Bureau of Long-Term Services and Supports shared new information with OAMES on these services.
As previously reported, Ohio’s five Medicaid Managed Care Plans (MCPs) -- Buckeye Health Plan, CareSource, Molina Healthcare, Paramount Advantage, and United Heathcare Community Plan -- provide Medicaid recipients with no-cost transportation services to and from food banks, food pantries, food clinics, and grocery stores as part of their plan benefit.
An updated resource document listing the transportation benefits provided by each MCP is now available. You will also find the contact information for each plan and instructions on how you can help schedule transportation services if needed.

With your help and support, we can improve access to healthy food, and ultimately improve the health and well-being of Ohioans in need during this unprecedented health crisis.
