Ohio Department of Medicaid Releases Post-Implementation ORP FAQ

On July 1, 2014, the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) initiated a pay and post period to educate affected providers including DME companies on the State's new Ordering, Referring and Prescribing (ORP) requirements.  ODM fully implemented ORP requirements on claims submitted with dates of service on or after 1/12/15 for certain providers.

There have been several questions and issues that's developed with the implementation of these requirements.  To address these, ODM posted a document on their website on March 2, 2015, called "Post-Implementation ORP FAQs" .  It can be found at the following link:
