ODM Seeks Public Comment on Healthy Ohio Waiver

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) recently posted its Healthy Ohio 1115 demonstration waiver application for review, marking the beginning of the public comment period.
 
House Bill 64, the 2016-2017 state budget bill, called for ODM to apply for a waiver from CMS to change how the state’s Medicaid program operates for more than 1 million Ohioans. The Ohio General Assembly specified that the waiver request require Healthy Ohio program participation, including Buckeye Accounts, for all non-disabled adults receiving Medicaid, regardless of income.
 
The comment period will run through May 16 and ODM will host two public hearings to provide an opportunity for all  interested parties to speak. The public hearings are scheduled as follows:

  • April 21 at 2 p.m. Medical Care Advisory Committee –Ohio Department of Medicaid, 50 W. Town Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.·       
  • April 26 at 2 p.m. - Mercy Health Home Office, 1701 Mercy Health Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237 in Rooms S144 A & B
