Registration Open for OAMES Medicaid Training Webinars

 

OAMES Fall Medicaid Training Seminar on Sept. 10 will be held virtually this year. Instead of the one-day, in-person event in Columbus, OAMES will be bringing members two webinars on Sept. 10 with a morning program focused on traditional Medicaid and afternoon session on Medicaid managed care.  We hope members will join us for these informative presentations which offer the only source for HME-specific Ohio Medicaid training in partnership with the Ohio Department of Medicaid and Ohio’s Medicaid managed care plans (MCPs).

Traditional Medicaid Webinar: Sept. 10, 10:00 – 11:15 am

Presenters: Mark Rogers (ODM Policy), Nichole Small (ODM Policy), Ed Ortopan (ODM External Business Relations), John Reed, OAMES Past President/State Policy Chair and Kam Yuricich, OAMES Executive Director

• Overview of OAMES’ efforts with Ohio Medicaid during public health emergency (John Reed)
• ODM COVID-19 update – Emergency rules and telehealth, Q&As (Nichole Small)
• HME Policy update – rules and projects, best practices and contacts, Q&As (Mark Rogers)
• Provider Relations update – program news and resources, Q&As (Ed Ortopan)                 

Managed Care Webinar:  Sept. 10, 2:00 – 3:15 pm

Presenters: Representatives from managed care plans:  Aetna, Buckeye, CareSource, Molina, Paramount and UHC; John Reed, OAMES Past President/State Policy Chair and Kam Yuricich, OAMES Executive Director

• Overview of OAMES’ managed care activities today and future (John Reed)
• Managed Care presentations – Updates on policy changes related to COVID-19; latest news, resources and program guidance for DMEPOS suppliers (Individual plan reps)
