ODM Managed Care Procurement RFA is Now Open; Responses Due 11/20/20

Today, ODM released a Request for Applications (RFA) for those interested in becoming managed care plans for children and adults within the Ohio Medicaid program. The selected plans will be an essential piece in improving the health and lives of millions of Ohioans.  This is the first time Ohio has made changes to the structure of its Medicaid program since CMS' approval of Ohio's program in 2005. Any changes to Ohio's managed care plans will NOT disrupt member coverage or access to care.

The RFA and additional details about ODM's Managed Care Procurement process can be found on the Request for Proposal page of ODM's website. For a quick summary, you can also watch  the Departments most recent video, "Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Procurement Request for Application" on their Ohio Medicaid YouTube Channel

The response period for the RFA will remain open until November 20, 2020. For further details on the submission process and a link to the Managed Care Procurement RFA, visit the Request for Proposal page on medicaid.ohio.gov.

After ODM has completed scoring and awarding new managed care contracts, they will conduct a thorough transition to support individuals and providers, including providing details about expected changes and assistance in navigating those changes. New plans are not expected to be implemented until early 2022.
