OAMES Partners with ODM to Host Medicaid Webinars on March 17 and 31

OAMES has been working with the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) Policy staff on a number of HME rules projects that were delayed due to the public health emergency, however, we are back on track and moving forward.  In addition to HME policy updates, 2021 is also bringing significant changes to the Medicaid agency with managed care procurement underway and a new fiscal intermediary (FI) announced.

The association has collaborated with ODM for many years bringing valuable Medicaid training to the HME community each spring and fall.  To continue this important work, OAMES will be hosting spring Medicaid events virtually given the on-going risk and uncertainty of COVID-19.

We have scheduled two webinars in March.  The first will be held on Wed., March 17, at 10-11:30 am to provide an update on HME rules, forms and schedules as well as the status of agency changes including MCP procurement, new Fiscal Intermediary, systems changes, claims processing tips and ODM resources for HME providers.  A second webinar will be held on Wed., March 31, 10-11 am focused on managed care issues for providers and complaint resolution guidance working through ODM.  The programs will feature presentations by ODM staff Mark Rogers from Health Plan Policy and Ed Ortopan from Provider Relations.

Save the dates and watch for registration to open mid-February with member and non-member rates available. If you have any specific topics you’d like to have covered in these webinars, please send your ideas to Kam Yuricich at OAMES as we work with ODM staff to finalize the program content.
