On March 2, UnitedHealthcare’s Payment Integrity Division will present a webinar titled “Payment Integrity: At a Glance.” The payment integrity program applies to Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicaid Managed Care plans and will offer further information on their commitment and approach, purpose of medical record requests, and how it is utilized to limit fraud, waste and abuse.
According to UnitedHealthcare, its payment integrity solutions program combats payment errors which lead to incorrect payments and downstream expenses. This is done through the three phases of the claim cycle: pre-adjudication, pre-payment, and recovery.
“This is the first time the industry has had the opportunity to learn directly from a major payer about their integrity solutions,” explains Laura Williard, vice president of payer relations for AAHomecare. “United Healthcare’s Payment Integrity program works to decrease provider claims issues and reduce expenses for claim-payment processing. AAHomecare is excited to offer this program for members of the HME community and feels strongly this will be a great opportunity to learn to work more closely with payers to optimize your reimbursement processes while increasing cost efficiency.”
