The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy extended the renewals of home medical equipment licenses (HMELs) and registration (HMERs) to July 1, 2021, as part of HB 404 which was passed last year by the Ohio General Assembly to address potential issues related to the public health emergency and COVID-19 outbreak.
According to the Board of Pharmacy in an email exchange with OAMES this week, there has not been an extension of HMELs or HMER renewals beyond the extension included in HB 404 so all licenses and registrations need to be renewed by July 1, 2021.
