We have exciting news to share! Today, CMS proposed to cover seat elevation systems in Group 3 power wheelchairs as a Medicare benefit. This is the result of tireless work being led by the ITEM Coalition and NCART is very proud to have played an active role in those efforts alongside other advocates.
We will be sharing more details shortly about the proposed coverage criteria, how to submit comments that support this decision, and the timeline for the final decision. In the meantime, the CRT community can take a moment to savor this positive outcome!
