Ohio's Integrated Care Delivery System Implementation Delayed Until March 2014

John McCarthy, the Director of the Office of Medical Assistance, announced that voluntary enrollment for the Integrated Care Delivery System, Ohio’s pilot project for individuals dually-eligible for Medicaid and Medicare, will be delayed until March of 2014. Director McCarthy stated that this new launch date will give the Ohio agency more time to work through many of the project details with the federal government and to ensure a smooth transition for the clients who will be enrolled in the new program. This announcement came in testimony provided by Director McCarthy before the Joint Legislative Committee for Unified Long-Term Services and Supports. His full testimony is available here.
