Workshop Session Descriptions:


Session One – 8:15-9:00 am ET (All Attendees)

Medicare Updates
This session will include the most recent changes to the Medicare program. We will discuss recent LCD updates on equipment categories, elimination of the CMN and DME Information Forms (DIFs), and much more.


Session Two – 9:00-11:45 am ET (includes 15-min break)

Documentation Requirements
Year after year, the CERT contractor finds “insufficient documentation” to be the lead reason(s) for errors. This session will take a foundational approach reviewing documentation requirements of standard written orders, proof of delivery, to ensure DME suppliers have accurate processes in place to decrease potential errors.


Session Three: 12:30-2:15 pm ET

Medicare Claims Processing Tips and Hints
Submitting a claim to the Medicare program is easy, right? Maybe or maybe not… This session will thoroughly explain how to navigate the claim submission process as well as a review of the top claim submission errors and resolutions. We will also review the Advanced Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN) and how to successfully bill upgrades. The instructor will provide helpful hints, tools, and links to make Medicare claim processing easier for you and your staff.


Session Four – 2:30-3:15 pm ET

Moving Past the Pandemic
This session provides an overview of the free self-service solutions available on the CGS website. We will discuss how these tools supply the answers you need in the fastest and most accurate way possible without calling Customer Support. Attendees will learn ways to find information on claim submissions, claim denials, and claim denial resolutions through use of these website tools.


Session Five – 3:15-4:00 pm ET

Supplier Open Question and Answer
DME supplier “Q & A” is always a highly awaited segment of any in-person event. DME POE representatives want to hear your questions and provide immediate responses to them. Our goal is for everyone to leave the workshop venue confident in their Medicare knowledge.
